Troubleshooting update errors
If you encounter any issues while updating your phone, you'll be able to fix it following these steps

Jump straight to:

Manual Update - Your current OS is v1 or 2

If you are still using the earliest softwarre, manual intervention may be required:
  1. 1.
    Open Android Settings > Storage > Files
  2. 2.
    Browse to the "Downloads" folder
  3. 3.
    Tap on "BllocOSUpdate.apk" (press continue on the warning)
    if you can't find "BllocOSUpdate.apk" make sure you're on a stable wifi and restart BllocMode
  4. 4.
    Tap on Install in the bottom right corner
  5. 5.
    Restart the phone
  6. 6.
    Go to Settings > System > System Updates
  7. 7.
    Tap on Update Available - release-4.0.1. (Make sure it says 4.0.1 and not a lower version)
  8. 8.
    Tap on Download in the bottom right corner
  9. 9.
    When the download is done, tap on Install, then follow the instructions.
Your phone will then restart with the last Anroid 8.1 version v4.0.1. From this version, you can update to Android 11 OTA. Please see the instructions here.

Your phone restarts but does not update:

  1. 1.
    If you are updating to from Android 8.1 to Android 11 OTA, please check that you downloaded the latest OTA app.
  2. 2.
    Please ensure that your battery is >50% then try again. If you are updating to Android 11, please go through the Android 11 Update Guide
  3. 3.
    If steps 1 & 2 still do not work, please use the flashing tool for Mac Users or Windows Users. Once complete, your phone will update to the latest version.

Your phone does not start into the system:

Please use the flashing tool for Mac Users or Windows Users

Your phone is stuck on 'Fastboot Mode':

The flashing tool for Mac Users or Windows Users will be able to help.

You see a dead android icon, with 'No command' or 'Error':
